looking for marten drivers

Im a current marten driver. What would you like to know.

 

Well I personally like the company. I still get plenty of miles, even with this being the "slow" time of the year. Making decent money. I get home when I ask to get home, and they dont complain about the amount of time I take off, I take a week off every time when I go home. Forced dispatch, but if you get a good dispatcher they dont push that issue. They are anal about securing their equipment, both while at home and on the road. If you are parked somewhere and away from your truck, they have a steering lock that you have to put on, goes on the knuckle inside the engine compartment. If something happens to the truck, and you didnt have that on there, its instant termination. Home, you have to secure the truck and trailer, either at your home, or at a secured facility. If you dont have one avail, they will find someplace for you to put it. IF you live with in a 50 or 75 mile radius of one of the yards, you leave the truck there while at home. They run a point system for the drivers, and first year any incident on the system is double points. Get over so many in a year and your terminated. First month, or three months I cant remember, any accident or incident that isnt reported gets you terminated. They audit the logs just about monthly, but as far as that they arent too picky about their logs, as long as your fuel matchs up. We do deliver to walmarts, but as far as them letting you drop it there, that would be up to marten and the walmart dc. Thats something they will figure out when you put in to go home. I got your pm but i am not sure if mine went out. Riders, anyone can ride as long as they are old enough. you simply fill out the form on the qualcomm and they approve it, take the small insurance thing out of your check and your good to go.
