It all depends on the mood of the inspector that day and how you treat them, sometimes you get a understanding one, then sometimes you get one on a rampage. All you can do is smile and take your lumps.

By your post it was probably your attitude, how you approach the situation can turn a warning into a ticket.
spyder7723, ZVar, MarkH129 and 4 others Thank this. -
They are just doing their jobs, my anger is with the ####hole state of California. They can’t afford anything so they tax and ticket everyone to death.Brickwall Thanks this. -
I had one a few years ago I believe it was around $180 . They wrote the ticket for being a combination vehicle over 65 feet. I guess if you're over 65 feet your kpra should be 40 foot.

Or any of those left coast states for that matter...
Live and learn
Now you'll be able to answer in a few weeks when the next guy comes on here asking the same thing. Or maybe "overlength or overweight"
Did the officer also measure your kingpin depth? Not all trailers are 36".....Grumppy Thanks this. -
And it's not moving violation or point on your record. I'm not sure about the CSA points. It can possibly be a misdemeanor.

I’m actually wondering if I can get out of it now. I noticed that he marked uncorectable instead of correctable.
It’s obviously correctable and I did it within 10 secounds.
Since he falsey filled that part out the entire thing could be void. But I’m not no lawyer and if it’s only like $180 then whatever I guess
