In truth I prefer a w9.... But I don't like my local dealer. Was less than impressed with my first truck from there, so I'm in no hurry to spend money there again. Pete makes a nice truck too.

Were these Cummins powered LTs? If so, it’s not a Navistar problem and should be handled through Cummins. I’m driving an LT with the new A26 motor and it’s been great. I bought it through Summit and they have good customer service.
Cummins has the name and that’s about it. The new A26 from Navistar, the Mack/Volvo motors, and the DD series motors from Freightliner are what I’d be looking at, in that order. I love my LT with the A26 but I have a soft spot in my heart for Volvo when I was a company driver.
Paccar, KW and Peterbilt, can burn for all I care. I did not have a good experience with them.

Cummins X15 efficiency 500hp/1850tq, 13 speed ultrashift, 3:55 rears. The A26 blew up on the demo evaluation, so we went cummins.

Cummins is involved, and pushing the buck off on International. International is pushing the buck off on Cummins, neither of them wanna pay for ####. The truck has several other issues besides the motor, everything happened in is a period of about 4 days; with blowing the motor being the grand finale.

I agree on the Volvo, love them, too much money. I also agree on Paccar, seem them screw to many guys on T680's with MX13's or 587/579's with either Cummins or MX power, just junk. The 579 is pretty much my favorite truck, but again, the pricing how I want it, is more than a Volvo. As I said above, Cascadia or WS 5700 w/DD15 or go home.

Is everyone having trouble with the X-15 efficiency ....?

There’s no way I’d get a Mx .....kinda puts a hurt on a Paccar product

International/Cummins claim our 2 trucks, are the first ones to blow the motors in Canada. But i know guys who work at XTL (all International), and they have lots of LT's down with motor issues also. Lightspeed Logistics buys LT's by the Dozen with X15E's, and they're lots of them lined up for work, at the 3 dealers in Calgary.

So in my book, the X15E is a nightmare, just like the Maxxforce, ISX and Paccar.

I’d be interested to know more regarding the A26. The term “blew up” is used loosely to mean a lot of things. My A26 has almost 40k and I haven’t had any issues and the fuel mileage is great.

They just did a software update on it yesterday and I’ve already seen a big difference. I ran a load from Noel, MO to Minneapolis area where I’m at now, 54k gross, 11 MPG.

I drive a 2018 W9 day cab with the 500 hp, pretty much the same set up as Bighosscummins. We got it in January and I have just over 8,000 miles on her so far. The only problem so far is that it makes an annoying sound when idling, kinda hard to explain, but it sounds like an injured duck or a really faint fog horn noise. Is anyone else getting this? Sounds like it’s coming from under the dash. We asked our Kenworth dealer and they said they get that complaint all the time that it’s normal, doesn’t seem normal to me.

Does it happen all the time or just occasionally? The air compressors are now naturally aspirated on the X15's so they do make an annoying sound when building air. I have the 565/2050 in my 2018 389SH and love it.

Seems like it does it pretty regular throughout the day anytime I’m idling. I haul grain so a lot of times I’m only driving 50 or so miles then idling for 30 to 60 minutes or so Seems like it happens the most right after I get done driving. I sure wish they could fix it.
