So I am about to finish the mentor phase with the company and not sure if I feel ready to go solo. The question I have is how should I know if I am ready or not to go solo? The reason why I say this is because was train on a dedicated route but want to do all 48 states and from my understanding was not trained well by the first mentor.

Just go for it; you'll be fine. Driving is driving. Watch the speed limits, don't blast by any scales, stay in the correct lane and you'll be ok.

China's right, dude. Just get out there and move at a pace comfortable for you. Think everything through and take your time. Enjoy yourself! You worked hard for this.

I felt the exact same way when i finished with my trainer. In fact I was so not ready to go solo that I was ready to throw in the towel and when it came time to do the road test, my heart wasn’t even in it. Lo and behold, i did great on the roadtest and got my truck and went on my way.

You see a lot of people on this forum talk about not overthinking things. That’s actually pretty good advice. You pretty much just have to plug your nose and dive in.

    You're never completely ready. :)

Patience and space. If you're running a bit behind your career won't end. If you do something stupid and destructive when you're trying to rush your career may be short. Patience and space.

It's contract freight. Through CHR. I was not happy. I hate the Midwest, south linehaul anyway. But I figured give it a try.
I need my west, Northwest pickups, delivering to midwest, south east.
