Orientation-Neck Measurement?

I think it’s standard DOT medical card practice to measure your neck nowadays. I had mine measured last June for the first time. I am fairly muscular having powerlifted for a long time, so my neck is big. However, I mysteriously passed and I can only assume because the nurse knew I wasn’t overweight.
Schneider won’t measure it, but they will at the physician. Everyone I know who has updated their medical card in the last year has been measured. They also stuck a pulse oximeter device on your finger and measure your oxygen concentration. That was new to me too. I don’t not drive for Schneider, just am commenting on the changing trend. Your results may vary.

If you're already aware that you have sleep apnea, should you bring your CPAP's SD card (or just print out the contents) to the physical with you so they can check it?

Edit: and not to hijack but I mean any DOT physical.

 

Only scam companies force that cpap scam,they get a kickback somehow.

 

17" ( FAT ) neck or bigger, if you're over weight, you're going for mandatory sleep study.

 

I went to ATL Schneider orientation in '15, at that time they did not measure anyone's neck. After being a month on my own, I came back in for check for making sure you are doing it the Schneider way. With that, I filled out an online survey about sleep. Got picked for a sleep study a month later and passed.

 

Extremely overweight and maybe a big neck. Sounds like they will have you do a sleep test. Since you already know you don't have sleep apnea you got nothing to worry about. The test is free just like the D.O.T physical.

 

not sni. if your study shows you have apnea, they give you a loaner machine til ins kicks in. then EVERYTHING is paid for. ZERO driver out of pocket. EVER.
