That's fine, I'll stay in the right lane while you are trying to merge into traffic..

Blanket statements like this are simply wrong. If I were making this statement it would be more like if your truck has a governor and it will prevent you from making that pass quickly and safely you should stay in the right lane. I am not sure how long you have been driving. However there was a time when carriers such as JB Hunt, Schneider and Swift had their trucks cut back to 55. Go driving in a state like Ohio and these cut back trucks and others afraid to pass because of the 65/55 split speed limit often had a line of trucks a mile or more long with nobody trying to pass them. This even caused problems on the 270 because of all the traffic entering and exiting trying to get around those trucks. These backups are dangerous and drivers really need to understand that sometimes you can create a bad situation that can get someone killed because of their carelessness. Speaking of getting killed a family of 6 got killed after being hit by a truck on the 270 near US 23 exit several years ago.

Things once were not like this. Today the FMCSA and most of the states have trucking so tight today that if a trucker passes gas they find a way to take him off the road. This tightness is because of OUR history as drivers. Groups like the AAA and Crash have and are hell bent to punish truckers as it is.

Like I said in an earlier post. Common courtesy and patience can make almost every bit of this go away. I'm retired now. I was basically forced off the road because of a medical issue. However I am reminded almost everyday of how much better off I am now.

Been thinking. I think that the left lane may actually be the safest to go slow in. So I’m going to start a new safety trend. :)

I'll throw in my 2 cents.
What's wrong with the industry is the fact that the old senile farts at CR England, and Swift decided a long time ago to castrate their trucks. Then the rest of the sheeple bottom feeder companies followed suit like chopping off the foreskin on all their fleets.
I drive regional; Utah Nevada, Wyoming Idaho and Colorado. My truck is not governed.
If the speed limit is 75-80, like it is through most of the state's that I travel, and you are governed at 65 and below.
YOU Have NO business in the hammer lane. You are actually a hazard and impeding traffic.
So if your traveling along the Wasatch front, in and around Salt Lake city, the third lane from the left is the hammer lane. There are signs warning truck drivers to stay out of the other two lanes.
The speed limit is 70 on that stretch between Ogden and Provo.
So please be courteous and stay the #### out of my lane.
    Thanks

Sometimes you have to move over to left to allow another vehicle enter the highway and now no way to get back into right lane because everyone in right lane is being selfish. There you are stuck in left lane. A little professional courtesy please.

Sure you will..how many times have you gotten out there and the guy your passing decides he's being dissed so he speeds up and matches you mph for mph.

I don’t run west much anymore, but yeah I know exactly what your saying..
Add poorly trained rookie drivers and that makes matters even worse.
