Brinks are much easier to pick than cut. Either way the vibrations of rolling down the road will crumple most locks.
What I learned was to look for places where I can back up against something. A fence, a wall, another trailer, whatever. Otherwise, all a lock is going to do is keep honest people honest.

Have a buddy in Arizona I will visit one day when I have the time and drive through. He asked the company he works for if I could park there. They're gasoline hauling. They said ok.
I have an abandoned gas station near me. It's for sale. Also has a bunch of trucks from one company parking there. I know I could call the number on the for sale sign to arrange parking.
As of now. I drop my trailer at a flyingJ close to me. They just want me to register it inside. Let them know how long it will be there. Park it way out back. They tag the trailer also.
I park my Tractor in my driveway. Looks funny. Single car garage and driveway. With this huge Tractor sitting in the driveway.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
It's about 2 miles from the house, and I walk it.
Our local police occifers are all over me like cops on a donut for parking in the residential, even though other guys do it, I think I made an enemy someplace that drops dime on me. -

You could look around the town you live in to see if there is somewhere to park. We have a couple gravel areas and some commercial parking on the roads in town where I live. Also we have a couple businesses in the area that allow trucks to park on their property for a monthly fee. Just got to look around

Isn't this why most companies prefer or mandate living 80 miles or less from a terminal? Ideally, you should have a vehicle at the terminal and leave the truck there for maintenance during home time. That's how it was explained to me. If you want to take home time elsewhere use Uber I guess.
