Back in 93 I was at jc Penney in Reno hooking up a set , I saw the correct trlr in my mirror but still grabbed the the one next to it.
Guard shack even checked seals and trlr # ' s at the gate. Yep they didn't catch it either , I took that box all the to Wa. State. I was lucky though it was due to go to Oregon. I didn't get canned but I put on some free miles making things right.
By the way I was new too.
I wouldn't worry to much about it especially if you've been doing good up to this point. We've all made some boneheaded mistakes.

Happens,, could be worse just expect to work free and tell them it will never happen again.
Most important if crossing international borders that trailer#,manifest and contents are correct.

Yep, granted I was still a rookie I had only been driving about 3 yrs , but I was new at this company. I thought for sure I was going to get canned.

I don't know about FXF, but OD drivers that pull the wrong trailer work for free that day. Consequences past that depend on prior offenses.

I've never made it out the gate, but I've hooked the wrong trailer a few times, especially when it's the exact same numbers just in a different order. Fortunately like @Bob Dobalina I'm paranoid and double and triple check.

I did get a wrong trailer brought to me once, so now I check the other guy's trailer numbers too before I'll drop mine. I caught it before he left though, and I went on to his barn while he sorted out his own mess. I'd have ended up in a hotel either way, so I saved myself the headache.

Good point to double check your meet guy's trailer number before you hook it.

About 4 or 5 years ago we had a guy that took the wrong 53 footer out to somewhere 2 1/2 hours from the yard. He took an empty and supposed to take the one next to it.

Here’s the kicker. It was a swing door trailer.
