You don't get points, the PSP shows accidents [only those reported to the DOT] back 5 years and and roadside inspections back three years. It will list each inspection's points that were assigned to your motor carrier and a total list of all the violations, again showing the points w/ each...

You do not have a 'score'; just a history of the points your carrier(s) received from your inspection stops....

If you quit because they never fixed the truck and everything shown is an equipment violation, it is not your 'fault'...

Now 4 speeding tickets during the past three years reflects on you and could affect the chances of being hired....

In order for that to happen, he'd have to have been written up (or warned) for failing to obey the signs. If all they did was write him for the weight, no points.

Correct. I'm not suggesting he'll have any CSA/PSP ding from this one.

The only offense on my ticket is the overweight. No moving violation.

I got a warning today for being overweight on the trailer by 520 pounds, it’s a bulk tank with real fine sand in it, she said I couldn’t leave until I got the weights right so I backed up as far as I could and took off and slammed the brakes on and went back on the scale, went inside and got my paperwork.
    I guess it worked.
