Well, that's is it last promise broken. Truck in shop not even been check on what we were promised. Instead they took radiator out and broke another part doing it. So another day off which is two past time. Person that promised is not even talking to hubby and is hiding in another office. Manager from other side tried to get some action but no. Turns out we are one of 3 once again with issues. Time for lawyer and we are not the only ones going to do it. More later on this.
Hubby is sick and tired and not playing their games anymore.

You do realize why its called a "fleece purchase". This here seems to be an example of a company fleecing you guys.

I'm sorry to hear they are doing that again.
I'm confused about your maintenance situation. Apparently you have a prepaid maint agreement so you don't pay out of pocket at time of repair? But they're not doing the work because they are mutts? Is that what's going on?

Yes, UTurnGirl that is it. Here is the whole of it.

Six months or so certain people were there one being shop manager. After two folks quit a third was fired. That left no one in charge with knowledge of mechanics in shop to oversee it. So alot of stuff is now not getting fixed right or at all. Management has no clue and seems to care less. Something back then changed that made these key people leave. Probably them not getting the help they needed.

Now this company has titiled many OO. Wickedfire is one we know in person 5 others. It was a good way at one time to get a truck that was older and learn the ropes too if you were a company only type driver or never drove before. But this past year it has all gone down hill bad with shop. As we all know two things keep money coming in, Trucks that run right and don't break down and good paying loads. The second is there but not the first.

Hubby was trained and certified on these engines and truck when he was in National Guard. He prefer preventive maintenance as apposed to wait till it breaks. Former as we know is all OO ideal program for they don't want to be left sitting. Unfortunately management is clueless as well as most everyone there drivers and it now seems shop on how to find and fix these trucks. Hubby tells them they ignore says he doesn't know, but fact is he knows more and has forgot more than they know now. That's not good as shop folk should know more than hubby. But hubby has been on the mark with Every thing that needed to be fixed. Which shop didn't and we have had to get fixed on the road. Sad situation to say the least.

****** Well, as I right this on phone with hubby. Turn of events. They are now doing engine work as I type this. Unfortunately there is no spare truck. Hoping we get a small loan from them to cover expenses because we really can't go further into hole. Hubby says two days to replace seal since half of what they needed off was off.

I am glad they finally stopped the run around. Hubby is worried to about money but glad they are doing the work. That's all he ever wanted was work done on truck when he said it really needed it.
Now it's time to pray all goes well and doesn't take longer.

They should give you a short term loan, just give them a number, but you’ll probably deal with a high interest rate

What make and model truck? Which motor, and what is the problem? Just curious, as I have mine torn down to the block in my driveway right now, just returned from dropping another grand in parts.

Engine is a Detroit series 60 military rebuild. Truck is Frieghtliner Classic 05 but this is it's 4th engine. Original engine was pulled after company got truck and they tried to rebuild it. Then they tried another two used that went. This was last one and it was bought rebuilt fully. Idea was to handle heavy loads so truck is setup to pull weight. The Diamond Seal went. From what hubby says is common to happen after so many miles. Not that big of a deal just time consuming and since radiator was off it should have been done then. But they put radiator back on so had to take it off again. It's a 98 engine their own glider that way. Hubby got to fully break it in with zero miles on it.

Plan is down the road to put it in a better body. But for now just getting it done will be good. Hopefully it's the last thing too. Everything major and I think most of the minor has been replaced. Since last year it has new turbo, exhaust, transmission, wire harness, starter, air cleaner, compressor, wheels and brakes. Not to forget new seats and headlights.

Well, two seals done one engine all good. Then they did idle run. Head casket has to be replaced too. So that's getting done now. They put two guys on it now because owner of company is overseeing it. They have hubby doing city work again. If all it is the gasket and not the head warred or cracked he will have truck back tomorrow. Talk about nerve racking.
