I mean no offense with my comment. However this industry is very heavily regulated and carriers pay out millions of $$$$ every year to settle lawsuits. ANYTHING other then total honesty is not going to end well. You have a problem solve it. Just be honest. It is the only way to be in regard to these regulations.

PLEASE KEEP POSTING COMMENTS AND INFORMATION ON FELON FRIENDLY COMPANIES.
So this is what I did, I've been on craiglist search Philadelphia and Chicago areas. I've written down every company name and phone number that requires little to no experience, companies that don't mention felony restrictions and as many companies that don't even list their company name and state they speak foreign languages... I havnt called anyone yet I'm waiting till Friday so I can obtain a cell phone. Then I will call every company and see if I'm eligible for employment. I'll keep you update during this process -
This is what it looks like, I have 3 pages back and front

Supply and demand. The demand for truckers is high enough across the board where "they" cannot be too picky. Don't fall for the be 100% be honest BS. If whatever is over 7 years old, consider the possibility of not disclosing it. I've had some good and some terrible advice from this forum. When it comes to drugs and felonies there is a clear agenda from most members to play games and flat out lie about the best way to handle applying for jobs in the industry. As if 1 person would make a dent on flies ### getting hired, some will just lie to you for fun and kick you while your down for a laugh. DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL BEYOND 7 YEARS. Any recruiter or probation/parole officer will tell you the same thing.

Edited to add this bit. When filling out an app look at the questions VERY closely. I have seen some applications with the question have you EVER been convicted of a felony and I have seen them ask have you been convicted of a felony in the last 10 years. Be honest but there is no need to volunteer information not asked for.Last edited: Mar 14, 2018
