I dont know where to post this but in a recent interview with us foods the guy asked me if there was a provision requiring a back up pair of glasses because he noticed my pair is super glued. I answered him honestly saying that i didn't know, do any of you know

No. But you do need to wear them. If you lose them or break them you will not be legal to drive.

There is no provision requiring back up eye ware.
In my thirty plus years I have never been asked for back up eye ware during inspection or audit and I wear glasses to drive.
The only requirement is if it says corrective lens on your license then you need them on when you driving.
I wouldn’t worry about it at all.

Back up pair? I used the same pair I used for driving forward! Sorry, sometimes I just can't help it!

Yes. If your CDL has a requirement for corrected vision you are required to have a backup. If eyeglasses or contacts are not listed on your CDL you don't need a backup. For example, if you can pass the vision test at the driver license station, not the doctor's office, without eyeglasses or contact lenses there is no requirement for a backup pair. Most cops are not going to ask to see your backups, and if they do showing them a pair of reading glasses is likely to satisfy all but the hardest cases. I've been lucky to keep eyeglasses off of my license so I've never had a cop of any description ask me about backup glasses, even if I happen to be wearing glasses when I encounter them.
