Until there is a conviction it's none of their business. Once the ticket is paid, or a court case is lost I agree. Until then though, I still maintain it's none of their business.

I gotta ask! What time of day or day was it? The loop is a buzzsaw from 0600 to 2000. I've never seen a cop have the time. Crashlanta takes care of that.

I may be wrong but I heard CSA is only affected by the infraction not the guilt.

Only if there is a corresponding inspection. Tickets have no bearing on CSA "scores"(They are really not scores either but off topic for here)

The lawyer will get it reduced to maybe a headlamp ticket or defective vehicle due to your clean record. You can also go to court and ask for a reduced ticket cause of your record. Judge should drop it down. Just admit guilty and say you screwed up. Judges will always reduce it if you’ve been clean for awhile.

Also on the reporting it. It’s up to you man. But I would let my company know. If they find out a stupid ticket can get your butt fired if you don’t let them know. Then you got a ticket on your record and a big stain on the resume. It took me 7 years for companies to not look at my termination from 7 years ago. I didn’t get into a accident or get a bad ticket either. Companies still ask about it even though I’ve worked 6 years with no suspensions and great referrals from the 2 companies that will hire me back in a heartbeat. I’ve never been fired in my life or suspended. At the end of the day cover your butt. Your company probably won’t give a crap.

I have a serious doubt the cop that wrote the ticket is a CVSA/MCSAP/DOT certified cop. Just about every time I saw a trucker being pulled over on 285 or inside the loop it was a state trooper or a local cop. I might be wrong but from my experience I highly doubt there was an inspection. However only the OP knows who stopped the truck.

Good luck with that. The courts that make up the area in question are not trucker friendly. The local news at least 4 or 5 times a year run reports about all these evil trucks and how they drive. My best advise is to try to get it reduced. I hope the OP can.
