I see your point. I wasn't aware they get moved around a handful of times before getting to the kill house.
My point is the same. Even if you multiply the 2.5 cents by 10 you're at .25 per pound. The consumer will pay more or consume less. How is it any different from any other increase in price? I think the only difference you will see is more people buying whatever is on sale rather than what they had in mind. Is the rancher also on such a thin margin he would not make it? I think if they were forced to figure it out. This is what would happen. -

My brother, who still hauls livestock, shares your opinion. He doesn’t see the point in dragging this out. The other day he goes “we just need to get them in the trucks and let the ****show sort itself out over the next year”. I tend to agree because I do think they’re coming for everyone eventually. -

Well. Maybe I'm different. I buy my beef from a local guy and have it butchered how I want it. Sucks the corporate world has made it so the little guy (who makes the entire process possible) is often left with little to nothing.
Long FLD Thanks this. -

I bought it 2 years ago. It was going to be a new f150 or mustang .... got to playing around on auto trader and found this for a good price. All it needed was a radiator and front brake lines/calipers and a battery. And I really like riding around town in it. Even at 14 mpg or whatever it gets. Not much. I have a someday plan to rebuild the entire thing with a new engine. It's current one is what it was made with. 4.1 v8 and makes maybe 150 horse. I'd like it to go a bit better than it does. Someday.
