Driver facing cameras will most certainly be happening. You can think the ELD mandate for it's upcoming acceptance. ELDs are too easy to cheat by lying about one's true duty status. Having a tearless retina peering into the cab to prove you were actually in the berth or off duty when you're logged as such will be a necessity.
Never thought I'd EVER be happy about a Federal law in my life. Certainly will put an end all those evil nasty "cheaters" on the road. Since all the ELD fanboys talk so much smack, I'm eager to see them get exactly what they truly asked for. Even if they never said a word about it. I love irony! -

Fake news.
The program was ended in December and we do not have driver facing cameras. Lytx is just trying to sell their most expensive package and probably paid for the article.
The actual trend in the industry is away from driver facing cameras as companies figure out they are contributing to their employment problems. Low pay, crap conditions, and a camera in your face being posted on youtube by company hacks( luckily our policy is for termination of anyone posting a public video about, shot in, featuring a Walmart truck etc) just add to their self inflicted driver shortage. -
Again Walmart management lying to their employees... Wow what a shocker...NOT!!!!!
DSK333 Thanks this. -

See random insinuation does nothing. Oh it exposes a troll, but little else. We are discussing cameras. You say they are lying. About what specifically? -
