    New Breed??
Hogan and NFI will soon show us all how livestock can be moved without violating any of the rules.
The slow to adapt will suffer

Nah. 12 years of baby sitting whiny ### truck drivers was enough for me. For every one good driver there were 99 that needed to bee treated like children. No thanks. Much simpler and stress free with just owning one truck.

Well I certainly know that area well.
I started out in 1982 as an owner operator bull hauler for Taylor packing.
Use to run the north east for them.
Fond memories of running down the turkey path from vestal to get in there.
Use to be a little store we stoped at had great sandwich’s.
I think it was in camp town or Lawton
Did you ever work for Taylor’s?

    Tall Mike Thanks this.

Actually Hogan and NFI only service swine packing plants (usually Cargill). Cargill runs a farrow to finish type operation. In plain words the pigs are moved once when weaned, then when slaughtered. All the farms have to be within a certain distance from the facility. Makes things lots more easier for them. When all you gotta haul is finished squiggs one time makes life easy.

Not an apples to apples comparison. Course that happens when you babble bout #### you have no clue about

I usually don't talk about the subject, either. People are going to eat whatever they want, I'm not really going to change that. But I feel it's important to talk about why some people feel the rules shouldn't apply to them. The idea that they're necessary is false. The humane argument is pretty weak as well. If they were worried about treating the animals humanely, they would never be crammed into the trailer in the first place.

If it's safe for one driver to go over their hours, it should be safe for all of us. If they don't want product dying in transit, they can always switch to products that won't die while providing the same function.

    Rocks Thanks this.

No on the Taylors...My Grandfather raised Beefalo in the area he knew Taylors when he was alive...He was also a regular at the sale in Wysox you two probably crossed paths !
I was born in Elmira raised in Binghamton, the family farm was in between Canton and Troy...My uncle has the farm now with just a few head of cattle for family use...I think he’s selling a little hay now and that’s about it.
Best I know they aren’t selling beef anymore.

    Small world eh ?
