It really is a small world.
I too grew up on a farm up in the Oneonta area.
I’m sure you know where that is.
Growing up on a farm it was natural progression to become a bull hauler lol.
Most of the local auctions I used to run like Oneonta, cobleskill, unadilla, and Dryden are long sense closed.
I talked to my buddy just yesterday and he just went back to working as an owner operator for Taylor’s after a 15 year break.
Back when I left there in the eighties they were running 1200 head a day thru the plant and that was just after the expansion.
Some thirty years later they are still putting the same amount of cows a day thru there but only when they can get them.
Seems three are hardly any family farms left to supply them with cows.
Very sad to see it go this way.
