So I'm down to Knight and CR England. Yes I know they have bad reviews, but bare with me.

So I've noticed that there are more Knight trucks driving in my area than CR England, and there is a service center literally in my home town where the company truckers go. However, CR England's training school is much closer than Knights. Does any of this really matter? If CR England doesn't have a terminal near my area I can just bring the truck home, correct?

I would disregard the distance to the school. It really is not all that important in the long term. Personally I would check out other options like technical schools etc first. These schools are OK but in the end you will come out cheaper if you use a tech school. Even company financed schools are going to collect during that year a lot more then the typical tech school will charge, and the CDL is just as good.

With Knight you can have the truck serviced while you're on hometime, instead of having it serviced while on the road and taking away from miles you could be running.

Definitely get it on your own. Have you seen the rates those companies pay to drivers they train? It's enslavement.
