My hearing is about the only part of my body that still is good. This is because I learned as a teen that hearing damage is cumulative. I always wore hearing protection. Sometime even at a concert. Take a look sometime at how all the old rockers are now wearing hearing aids!

For us older drivers tinnitus seems to be common, Screaming Jimmies got their name honestly.

Yep, tinnitus, sinusitis, incontinence, depression, and rectal bleeding......

    But it pays okay, sometimes.

Since the demise of the 1/4 vent window many drivers have lost or damaged hearing in their left ear... it has something to do with the wind noise pitch .. least that’s what a ear specialist said to a buddy .. he now wears a earplug in his left ear driving ( smoker) so window is open often

My first flatbed gig I was driving a old Pete with 10 inch stacks...after 6 months I noticed a considerable hearing reduction, guess it was being so close to the stack and using that 260 air conditioning

    What's up Luke.

It's a double edged sword. What I hated about the sandbox is what most other social media places don't allow. Having experienced both sides, i prefer freedom.

My dad and I both have it, my case is much more mild. I do listen to music with earbuds or headphones sometimes. There is a video on YouTube where you cup uyour hand start over your ears and thump you index finger over your middle finger fifty times. It instantly gets rid of it for me, doesn’t work for my dad.
