Long story short.....on my 3rd week out on my own. First week I did fine....second.....2800 miles without too much trouble.

3rd...OMFG, I couldn't back into the broadside of a barn if I tried! I turned the easiest back into a nightmare at a shipper and my self esteem is down the drain at the moment. I wiggled my trailer into the easiest spot at the truckstop and sat there looking at everyone else whipping theirs in doing 80mph!

Anyone ever had doubts about their career choice after getting into it?

And yes....I'm the ###**** that went into the exit at the truck stop as well.... I really want to do this and thought things were doing great until this week. Now it feels like I should just stay here in my spot and not go back on the highway, but I'm pretty sure someone would wonder eventually where I went.

    HELP!!

Everyone has those kind of days. You made it through safe so you did good. Tomorrow is another day.

We all have those days or weeks where nothing can come together. Heck I still have days where my head isn't in the game and couldn't back straight till I could just wipe my mind and do it.

I have been driving for 11 years. And I still struggle with backing, especially at truck stops! Do NOT try to rush thru the maneuvers. Slow and easy does it. And get out and look as many times as you need.

Yup, slow down, relax and it will get better.
Tomorrow is a new day. And a new day to screw things up.
