Western Star Truck Issues And Fixes

I had to cut that wire for the brake light over ride too. These new Ontario SPIF auto self steer lift axles....the only way you can lift them manually is you had to cycle the 4 way flashers, then leave them on to keep the axle up.

But then I had to install an illegal over-ride switch anyway after the first time I almost side swiped a car in the winter because they DON"T STEER!!!!!
The government idiots behind a desk that imagine this crap up will tell you they steer, but they have never driven one. Especially when you are pulling a pony trailer that has 17 feet of tongue between it and the back of your truck.

I always wanted to try those heated windshields. My wiper blades are always freezing up in the storms.

I almost got a new one last summer. Was going to see if it would be built any better. But salesman dropped the ball and never put any overhang on the dump box, so it is no good for dumping into asphalt spreaders. So we didn't take it. Someone from out of town ended up buying it.
I ordered this one without the woodgrain on the dash since it scratches so easy. But I did get the wood on the steering wheel and the door panels because they look so plain without the wood.

Oh well, I'll keep running this one for now. Just put new exhaust filters in the One-Box.

 

Same here working road construction. I usually have to replace both every season. That's why I hadn't looked into that option before either.

 

Was at the iowa 80 a few weeks back and saw heated wipers and fluid containers..No idea if they are any good..

A local guy in town here invented those heated wipers. He gave us a few sets to try, but we never did wire them up. So I'm not sure how good they work.

One of my cars has heated washer fluid. That makes a big difference.
