Just thought I would post this its something really positive that happened in my day yesterday. I picked up the last farm on my first trailer and was heading back to the yard to do my drop and hook. It was a very windy day with 60 mph gusts....yikes. I had to stop the truck as there was a downed tree in my path. The shoulder was much to soft to go around the tree. I was on the phone with the boss figuring out how to deal with the situation when someone in a Chevy express van stopped with a chain saw. Just someone who was passing through happened to have a fueled chain saw. He cut the tree up and cleared a lane so I could proceed. This guy didn't work for the town or state just someone passing through.
This made my day. I felt at that moment that not all is lost in our society.
There are still good people

This must be another fake news story. According to all news reports, newspapers, the president, various politicians, an other assorted idiots...the world sucks an nothing good ever happens in it.
Please leave the truck stop stories at the truck stop. Nice people?! Good deeds with no asking of payment? You have bumped your head sir! I highly recommend you get checked out, get some meds or something. People will think you have gone crazy if you keep up this kind of talk.
Next you'll tell me people still say hello to strangers, help little old ladies with their groceries, puppies bring smiles an kittens make you laugh.
Sirscrapntruckalot - Yes, sarcasm was used in the making of this post, an several bunnies an a turkey were hurt in the making of it. Take that PETA!
(PS - I like hearing about good things. Keep it up.Streetroddreams, Bakerman, Texas_hwy_287 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Not a fake news story here is a photo of the tree that was blocking my path. The van on the other side of the tree, those are the people that helped me out. I was wondering that too, driving around with a fueled up chainsaw....but who was I to complain in the situation i was in.Sirscrapntruckalot, Texas_hwy_287 and Lepton1 Thank this. -
Also I used my head. I could have tried to go around it and did something really stupid. Truck likely would have flipped it was around 100k gross. in this situation you have to stop and think before you act because you can create a very bad situation.

You were in his way.
Bakerman and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this. -
He could have easily gotten around me like the other 3 cars that came through before him. Notice the tire tracks on the side of the road.

Only one who should be upset with my post is Peta. An maybe the bunnies and the turkey.
Sirscrapntruckalot - Random acts of kindness do happen.
