Basically, you can't hurt the new automatics, they won't let you. I prefer a manual, but as long as somebody else is paying for the truck, I will drive either.Brickwall and homeskillet Thank this. -

How many times have you seen that idiot pulling gears at a light with the cab twisting on each shift? Pissed off at his dispatch, wife/girlfriend or both? Some drivers take their frustrations out on the machine, automatics make sense on a fleet truck. -

Most inconveniences disappear with familiarity.
30 years ago you could get into 5 different Kenworths and have 5 different transmissions to learn to use, autos are just another transmission to learn to use. -
I wouldn't know. I've always gotten out by rocking. Had to put chains a couple of times to get out,especially in the oil field. -
