Looked at them briefly, seem to have pretty good reviews. 50 cents in great as long as you can get the miles, I would definitely talk to one of their drivers somewhere on the road. Companies seem to be offering more pay out there..seems to be getting competitive, it's about time. Folks can say what they want about Trump but things are looking up.

I was just looking on Mcleods website . It says 50cpm base pay with 4cpm monthly productivity bonus and 2cpm quarterly safety bonus.

I don't know anything about the company but it seems like good potential

Of course you'll take the extra cash that per diem allows; with the already meager wages that you're making doing OTR, you need every cent that you can get.

Forget contributing anything towards Social Security; then, when you're too old and/or too sick to continue working (100% guaranteed gonna' happen one day, if you live that long), because you'll have absolutely no savings, no pension, and no retirement, you can park your wheelchair at the closest freeway offramp and beg for scraps.

P.S. To all you Social Security doomsday folks; if Social Security goes the way of the Dodo, all your precious
401 K's are going to magically disappear as well.
    Love, Joe

The prevailing theory pitched by carriers is to take the per diem option, invest the "tax savings" into their 401k plan and let them match to whatever degree they will match to, and you will be ahead in the game in the future.

Very few blue collar workers today will be able to "retire comfortably" tomorrow, given all the factors working against them. It's nice to have ambitions but keep them realistic and/or figure on working until you physically can't work anymore ... or hit the lottery for millions

I don't buy your theory comparing social security to your 401K... South the security is being drained by the feds for other purposes other than what is intended for
