I'm curious I'm wanting to start a career in trucking I've read posts on here about physicals I was recently injured last year at my old job I was a underground coal miner I lost a couple fingers I'm just worried that I won't pass sum of these trucking schools physicals. Just want sum thoughts maybe sum of you have went through the same thing.

I think that the medical examiner would determine that. I know of a driver who lost his hand and they disqualified him here in Mississippi for it. I read on this forum where someone had a prosthetic hand and drives. I am sure you can still control a truck just fine, don’t see where it would be an issue.

Do ya still have a middle finger? Cause that one is absolutely essential for critical communication with 4-wheelers, dispatch, and customers. On a very regular basis.

I’m missing 2 fingers and another tip of one. Never had a problem with physical. Doctors usually check to see if you have a good grip with your hand. As long as you have a few fingers you should be good.
