and you wanted to take his advice, and make demands of your boss..??
what does that tell you of his mind thoughts?
obviously, he hasn't got a brain, but wanted you to follow his advice......lol

and no i have not taken his advice, my boss is the guy that invested money in the trucks; he is the one paying my bills. i dont make demands of him. he actually is pretty pleasant to deal with. why do i want to be a thorn in his side?
hell he is the one who gave me a local home daily job with only a few months of tractor trailer. in some ways im greatfull. i have a job that at some times has its issues, but it works for me and my family. it works better then some of the non-trucking jobs i have had. i am grossing 54K per year and im home with my kids at night. i dont see this as such a bad thing after all, and i am still "out" there with the other drivers.... still on the road, and driving a truck. gaining experience.Last edited: Apr 10, 2018

admittedly its all third hand information, but the only idea i was trying to get across is dont do stupid things. this job is more then just driving sometimes. get all of the information before you spring your plan of action into play. if it does not feel right or is out of the ordinary, ask.
as far as getting fired, i do believe that it is actually quite hard to get fired where i work. he has a hard time finding and keeping drivers. regardless there is still an element of professionalism that should be exercised. this does NOT include making demands of the boss.
he tells people that no one wants to work anymore. well that's partially true, our society is full of lazy people. diary hauling is an imperfect industry in general, with the good being MOST of the drivers are home daily. he does have some OTR and those guys are in and out of the house several times a week, no one working at walton milk hauling is gone full weeks at a time. i think he pays around 40 cpm for OTR. no im not interested lol.misterG and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -

the last driver to get canned put a truck and trailer into the trees. he was caught on camera looking out the window and lighting a cigarette, he blew right threw a stop sign and destroyed the truck. he then lied to workers comp and said the brakes failed. i think my boss said he fired him more for lying then the accident itself. so its not impossible to get fired. im guessing he has little tolerance for lying.
i cant say i dont blame him.Farmerbob1 Thanks this. -
buddyd157 Thanks this.
