i cannot see why the driver of the truck is not identified. most times, here in the 48, we find out the same day as the crash. why the super secret on the truck driver?

Only behind the wheel for about a month...

Sukhmander Singh owns the small trucking company, saying his remaining truck has been taken off the road while police investigate the collision.

Singh said the man who was driving the truck at the time of the collision has only been behind the wheel at his company for “about a month.”

“He’s a good guy,” Singh said of his employee who was driving when the crash happened around 5 p.m. on Friday. “I don’t know what’s wrong over there, why this went wrong for this guy.”

What that doesn't tell us is if he only has about a month's worth of experience, or has only been at the company for about a month. I would not be surprised if it is the former.

And it is a new company as well.

Mason said the company began operation in the fall, has no violations on its record and appears to have been compliant “up until this point.”​

 

I wanted to say something.... I figured as much. The provinces have blood on their hands in this in their lax standards for commercial drivers. You can get your cdl in a week here in Manitoba.

It was only a matter of time before something like this happened.

 

I hadn't posted anything, but my initial gut feeling, which I relayed to my wife as we first heard the news in the car, seems to be coming true.
