Wow looks like a bit of a pita to strap that load. One of those loads that will have you driving extra smooth and carefull. ;)

They’ve been advertising like crazy in Redding. Where’s that new Northern Cali drop yard at?

Grenada. We just rented a few spaces from that gas station/truck stop with the big dirt lot out there.

Tug Toy, Rugerfan and Oxbow Thank this.

I've been here for a little over two years and we do a lot of drop and hook. The drop yard just adds one more option to where those happen, rather than it happening at our yard in Springfield.

    Rugerfan Thanks this.

That would work nice for a guy running there to LA and back

If I'm going to drop and hook I'd rather just do it at our yard. Grenada is too far to make from LA in one day, and every trailer you hook onto is just another potential set of problems. I prefer letting that happen at the yard where we have mechanics and a parts room to fix the issues.

It would work well for me, where I live, I could hook a load in Grenada, go home, deliver in LA, pick up, potentially make it back home, go back up to the drop yard and switch, go home, and back to LA, and keep going like that, but it isn't working out that way for me. If it were a guaranteed dedicated loop like that I might want to do that but as things stand I try to avoid having anything to do with any drop yard that isn't at the main yard.

    Oxbow and Rugerfan Thank this.
