Do you park wherever you can at truckstops?

sure it does.....once again, it's called trip planning.
Ie, "I know I'm going to a live unload and it might take anywhere from 1 to 6 hours. What time should I start my day? What are the nearest parking locations? Will the customer allow me to park in their yard?" And on and on. Planning on getting there is only half the plan. Planning on how to get out is the other half.

 

I park at the fuel island and put a cone behind my truck to let others know I aint movin

Never. I know which truck stops along my route will be full at a certain time so I plan it so I will shutdown at a place that always has parking.
