    I went to China last month and used a squatter for the first time at a rest area. I was most worried about crapping on the back of my pants, but I succeeded in not doing that. I just feel sorry for the old folks with arthritis. It seems like you would need a take some osteo bi-flex just to prepare for a dump.

    Squat porta potties were around before then. We had a lot of them in Iraq. Somewhere I've got pictures of a load of burn latrines that I picked up and delivered. I've got photos and video of soilders literally stirring the crap. If you ever see a solider walking up to a cut down 55 gallon drum with a 5 gallon jerry can of DF2,you might want to leave the area.
