I have a verizon aircard that I usually use to ger online. If I'm at one of the company OC's, I use the free wifi. Also, some rest areas have free wi fi as do some truck stops. Before I got the air card, I tried using wi fi only, but it was hit and miss with availability.
Not only that, most times it's not free. Most places charge around $2 for one hour, $5 for 24 hours or a monthly fee. Seems a bit pricy to me.

Verizon aircard myself. I need a reliable connection for planning, weather, etc., so "free" hotspots and truckstop ripoff wifi connections just don't cut it for me. Verizon's network is pretty well established, but I still find areas that it's hard to get a connection in. I use the PC5750 PCMCIA card.

Cyndie, I use the Verizon USB 720. It is very handy to have. When I first got it, I was living in an area where I couldn't get any other high-speed so it was GREAT to ditch dial-up.

Ms No Name 72 Thanks this.
