Well , jump back in when you feel the need.
The #1 thing to know is:
Get up early and run hard until you figure it out.

That won't be a problem. I'm coming from reefer work where I'm delivering at 0300-0600 half the time. Looking forward to dry van after 3.5 years of reefer.

Good luck , brother. It can be done and there's a bunch of folks who can attest to it.
Remember to save your money. You'll need around $15k in a full year for taxes.
Keep moving. If the wheels ain't turnen', you ain't earnin'.
If you're going to be out for a long time, make the time count. Man, you can get a $65 motel, a $20 pizza, and $20 worth of beer and have a very large time. Don't beat yourself up. You'll only hate what you do.
Don't slave yourself to a 50 mile radius and don't dead head a bunch of miles for a $2 load that goes 150 miles. Learn to know the difference.
Pay attention. Most of what you need to know will present itself.
    Most of all, enjoy.
    Good luck

I don't know if I told you, but I'm coming from a lease deal. I've gotten a tax refund every year for overpaying....and I've never paid more than 3000 dollars to the feds. If I'm making enough at Schneider to owe 15000 dollars..well, I won't be complaining.

Well, if at every company the worst case scenario became life, the particular driver subjected to that treatment wouldn't last long...especially if it affected their money in such a way where they couldn't make ends meet...ESPECIALLY.

But, like he said, if you don't update your times, they wear you out.
My philosophy has always been, I told you once when I'm going to be there. If you wish to change it, that's your business. Meanwhile, I'll be there when I said I'd be there.
