I actually called in on this fool. His dispatch and safety department could of cared less. He was driving like a raging tool as well. I didn't mention that when I called in. Only brought up the securement issue.

It’s stacked on each other and he has a headache rack. I don’t see a problem.

I see crap like that every day in Chicago. Heck I see stuff up against the bulkhead with absolutely nothing securing it.

That looks like a local single axle daycab. Yes I do see the flatbar has nothing even touching it.

I’m not shocked in the slightest they didn’t care when you called in on him.

Zeviander, Bud A., stwik and 3 others Thank this.

For us non-flatbedders, what is wrong?

Smallish bundle in the middle against the other stuff has no securement whatsoever. It could easily walk off the rear of the trailer.

Adieu, TeaCup88, Bud A. and 8 others Thank this.

I don’t think it would. Not saying I’d do it, but you’re not going to have enough torque to slide it off the back.

Depends I guess on what part of the world you run in. Flat land? Shouldn't be an issue really. Hills? A whole different crap shoot.

NYCB2A, stwik, DSK333 and 1 other person Thank this.

For starters there is no padding under the straps. The bundle of flat steel had absolutely zero securement. One hard stop and its coming through his windshield. That thin aluminum head board won't even slow it down. Another thing, there is no choke chains or straps to keep them together.
