Truck Driver 23, I noticed you are from Illinois. Have you ever heard of Williams National Lease? They hire out of the school I am going to be going to. They are a food service delivery company. Thanks for the help.

You will sweat 10lbs off in the summer and freeze to death in the winter. If you don't mind hard work then it is worth the pay. -
however i wont need it anymore. Sygma turned me down
so now i hooked up with a company called Systems services of America!
(under Food services of america)
this one pays beter and has better operations and services Burger king/ Wendy's, Sonic, and Arby's...
the average is about $250- $400 day (but like the guy said you do work your ### off and hussle allot) all night time deliveries. training pay is $19 Hr
so this should work for me -

Food and beverage are good jobs for the younger driver because you do get a work out. I ran a coke route before. One funny thing is everyone gets massive lower leg muscles from all the humping.

Been working for Sygma over 5 months now. The work is whatever at this point, your body adjusts. My biggest issue is the time away from home.
I keep seeing MBM taking over more and more of Sygma business.... And MBM seems to be purchasing the companies they're taking over. So far I dig working for Sygma but making the switch to MBM is sounding pretty appealing as my branch is losing work faster then they're losing guys due to constant hiring.
If you aren't in the top 20-25 drivers at my branch, you will be lucky to make over 1k a week. I'm looking to be closer to 1,300.....
Oh and with this new bid they crunched a bunch of the runs, making more team routes. Basically it ended up putting around 25 guys on the relief board, then they added some l/h's to keep them busy. We still have WAY to many people on relief board, but they forecast people to quit and plenty of work will be available.
MBM is sounding pretty sweet right now... I'm going to do some digging -
Oh ya, at first I thought the work and being on nights was going to kill me, literally almost quit.
Stuck it out and now I'm in the best shape of my life. You have good nights and you have bad nights. But I have a six pack that I havn't seen in probably 8 or 9 years and I feel a hell of a lot better about myself physically. My back hurts less now then it did when I was in the asphalt biz. I think that's mostly because my muscles are so solid and built now.
I don't have anything bad to say about Sygma excect for the time away from home, and keeping us busy. If I wanted to be away from home for 3 days or more, I would go over the road. I would rather have 6 locals a week with a helper and be home every day.
BTW our 6 night a week local routes pay 1800 WITH a helper.... Average 20k a night per person and you make insane money. That's senior driver stuff unfortunately.
