@keen98 Hey, several months ago I started lurking on this site researching the best company for ME to get my start in trucking. After a few weeks, stumbled across @Steelersjunkie journal. He doesnt live to far away from me so that drew my attention.
Several reasons I am choosing to work for Millis. My location, the schooling(having people pay a little up front, IMO weeds out 90% of the slugs), the pay, and quite honestly the professionalism that you, SJ and several other Millis drivers have shown on social media over the years. Being a newb I dont have a lot of contacts to make a more informed decision.
Yeah I could go and pay for my CDL at a driving School, but after 8 weeks of schooling 8 hours a day, I would still be left with looking for a job.
Anyway, I hope the Trucker Gods look down on me in a couple months and I get to train with you.
Also if the camera only films you while you are driving what does anyone have to worry about anyway?Airmech, keen98, Farmer54 and 1 other person Thank this. -

####, you take a night to catch up on sleep and miss all the fun....
Not sure where that one came from since the post your quoted by @keen98 wasn't directed at you, or anyone in particular as I saw it, it was just the reality and also his opinion (and one that's really dam close to 100% accurate personally) but either way I didn't read anything into other then the facts of how it is.
You can say what you want (and will, it's cool), the only thing I can say for sure is that after 15,000 miles my trainer felt I was ready to test out (it is at their discretion, if they feel you need more time then you get more time, end of story). I tested out and passed the road test and was sent on my way to concur the world.
Now here's the flip side...
After 15,000 miles I knew enough to know that I didn't know very much at all. The first few months were head spinning at times. Not because of bad training or lack of training, but because every day, shipper, situation is different.
Past performance really has little to do with it since it isn't performance in the type of situation you are in then with that type of vehicle. Either way, the camera are here, and here to stay. At times they will piss you off, and at times they WILL cover your ###, it's just the way it works.
Man, the last couple days reminds me of trying to talk to mellennials.
There, that ought to start some ####.Last edited: Apr 26, 2018
