Hey Spanky, You staying busy? Where you been running lately?
-
not as busy as i would like usually i average around 3500 to 3800 miles my first week out and 2400 my second week out. Here lately i have been averaging about 2000 to 2800 miles a week. All i run is the southeast to the midwest area which mainly consist of iowa, wisconsin, illinoise, and indiana. every once in a while in a while during the winter i will run up to upstate new york but that is about once every 2 or 3 months. it is not just us that are slow everybody is slow right now with the economy the way it is. millis biggest problem is the big companies are coming in and undercutting them on some of there runs

Thanks Spanky. Where is Seymore at? I live on top of Monteagle Mtn.

Heres an idea since your husband got let go after all those weeks out on the road
Dont let all the experience go to waste.
By now he should be able to pass the driving test without a problem so go rent your self a single axel tractor with a day cab, go rent a cheap old flat bed trailer ( drive around in the seedy part of town and look into the lots on the side of the road) ask whoever is standing around if you could rent the trailer to go pass a road test.
Chances are the guy will rent you the trailer and for a few extra bucks will take you to the test place.
If the guy looks like a a drinker bring a bottle of something nice, if he's a big fat guy who has food stains on his shirt get him a gift certificate for a hundred bucks at a steak house and Im sure he'll help you out.
Poof!!!! like magic...theres your cdl!!!! -
I was trying to reply to the lasy who had said that Millis gave her husband the boot after his training was complete and that he came out of weeks in a truck without a license.
Somehow my response didnt attach itself to that message.
I probably goofed it up somehow
I was accepted into the Millis training program and gave Alice the 100. today.
I will be in the class which starts Feb.16th.
I am very much looking forward to the whole thing.
If anyone has any advice they can give me it would be much appreciated. -
I live at the bottom of Monteagle, well kinda. On top of Sand Mountain, above South Pittsburg/Kimball/New Hope. I'm heading to Cartersville on March 2. -
Hey all you truckers and trucker's wives! My husband is due to start school with Millis in a few weeks and he is very excited! I am just curious about what is in store for me as a trucker's wife. Any advice from wives? Any concerns about the economy and Millis? Also, can he drive with a small dog?
