I have to ask, did they constantly harrass you to make sure you did not make them lighter by a few cans of that soup? I hauled out of a very old brick cambells soup facility once (I forget where) and there were people all over making sure that cans did not get into our pockets etc. They were that good back then. But Im happy that there was no problem. Just the overall atmosphere in that plant.
what was the WORST or CRAZIEST thing you have ever hauled?

The load went to Eagle Pass Tx. For Mexico. They kept the good hides here in America. Fortunately it was winter time now and then for that work. But Dumas on a hot summer day among the railcars covered in non edible fluids and clouds of flies etc. It was a difficult loading. Biblical pestilence inside that cab if you so much as cracked a vent for a moment.Farmerbob1, Lepton1, Plantfoam and 2 others Thank this. -

Crazy load for me was bales of fine hay out of high plains of Idaho. It was for a Saudi prince's horses. I hauled it to New York harbor and it was put on a ship.
What made it crazy was wandering around 8% grade dirt farm roads without a clue on the map and trying to find a mystery hay barn.
Finally flagged down a cattle hauler who set me on the right road.Farmerbob1, x1Heavy, Brickwall and 5 others Thank this. -

Worst was a form of vermiculite I took to a trash incinerator in Youngstown. They added it to the waste to make it more solid and burn easier. It had a stink I can still recall to this day. Fortunately I got rid of that trailer next load.
