yes something like this, law is tailored to make sure nobody will get an idea again to use topsleepers both on tractors and drawbar combination while carrying maximum loading length.

as for wheelbase and others, there are shorter wb's, often used in australia.
scania offers 3300mm wb ( now 3350) for tractors, it is most common wb in japan. arocs got 3300mm too.

using daycab with fully height semitrailer is not what i would recommend to anyone air deflector have to be nearly vertical

dont know how it is in belgium with daycab tractors, here you will find only few of them.
since new gen(2013) was sold only in 7examples. and 3 in old. some are imported as second hand from germany - but still below 10 in whole country , i have seen 2 new gen used but saw them only on german trial plates, never on ours so maybe they only pass.

maybe having daycab is not that crazy. if you spec it as construction truck ( for tipper) when it gets 10+ years it will value way more in parts than in piece. for example 10year old naked daycab just sheet cost about 7000-8000€, axles and gearbox fit into tippers many other components on frame. some people import used tank tractors from germany ( you know ones without any extra weight on 495s) and strip them for parts on same way...

This truck is a tipper and a tractor at the same time. You can take the tipper part off, and use it as a tractor. And still it has a sleeper cab.

    Actually, He Did...

    It doesn't...

As has already been mentioned the HVAC unit is In There..

The main reason is to accommodate the "Wrap around" Dash, SO everything is within in Easy reach of the Driver..Pretty sure you've Lectured us on "ergonomics" in the past...

Haycarter, looking at the pictures,i doubt that it is easy to get out off the seat to get to the rest off the cab.
It looks to me as the dash is abit too long.
    Do you agree ?

The local Dealer Brought a Demonstrator here some Time ago, & quite Frankly It was no harder or easier to get to the Sleeper than an Argosy or FH Volvo..Biggest impediment is the Gearstick (If the trucks a manual) But It does fold out of the Way..

Just as a point of Interest.. I have (In semi retirement) an Old COE Mack Magnum, & It does have a Completely Flat Floor. Yet, It still has one of @Caesar much maligned Dog houses. Mostly because of the HCAV system. A Flat dashboard would give you more room. But would be far less user friendly..

The seat slides back to make plenty of room to go from seat to sleeper.

Somebody might be working too hard if they need a sleeper on a dump truck.
