What causes my exhaust to over heat but my engine doesn’t ?
-
-
Is it giving a high exhaust temp code or just the pyro is high? Plugged mufflers and bad intake leaks or intercooler can cause aguard to read high.
On an engine code i usually see it from the atmoshpere pressure sensor not working. -
I just bought a 900k mile C12 with a recent rebuild from CAT. Hoping it lasts till 1.3 till anything major

Hi - New here. Looking at a 2007 KW T600 with a c13 in it. The truck is being sold as part of an estate, so cant talk to the original owner. Would this likely be the dual turbo set up that did not have EGR or DPF? If so, does the dual turbo also have the VVA system? It was supposed to have been rebuilt a few years ago and documentation exists (I havent seen it yet), but not sure what they would have done. It currently has about 900k on it. I would be using it for recreational use (hauling personal race vehicles). Thanks

C12 2ks= great motor and runs like a raped ape with 500+ hp tune from cat

07 has the iva's and dual turbo. I have one and runs great, have the 500 tune. Recommend to up the horse to get most out of it.
Joetro Thanks this. -
I have a 2007 T-600 with the C-13 and, yes, it's a twin turbo ACERT. No DPF. I have had a lot of good luck until recently, but that wasn't the engine's fault, it was mine. I love my C-13 and it pulls hills (I live in the Northwest) as well as, or better than, many of the bigger motors.
