Hello. I am wanting a job in trucking. Unsure if it will be long term, to be frank. But I do want to give it a try. Currently, I have no CDL, and had my basic license for about a year. As bad as it may sound, I'm looking at mega carriers, because they seem to have the most lax requirements. But I honestly don't know where to go. I've heard horror stories of about every one of those. Are they all pretty similar, or are there some better ones out there?

    gentleroger Thanks this.

We can't help you unless we know your location. Need to know the hiring area you live in.
Here's a decent company. Are you in their hiring area? Must be 21 yrs. old.

easiest way to do it is find out how many mega's are the closest to you put all their names in a hat and pick one out. Cause they are pretty much all the same just a different colored hood.

How would my first year, or so go? Would I be stuck driving the east coast, probably would I pretty much drive wherever?

Would at least prefer most of the West to drive. It is certainly not as populated as the east.
