Absolutely that or a guy who's getting up there and is just too stubborn to retire. It's pretty easy usually as long you don't get too many of the light as a feather loads you've got to load until it's 3 foot over the top and then you stomp it back down to get the tarp closed.

Ok uncle explained it to me. The truck is paid by the ton then the driver gets 22% of that for the week
-
That's not fantastic, does he have the work to keep you busy?
motocross25 Thanks this. -
That's awfully low..22%? The standard for new hires is 25%... 2% makes a difference. You should also consider that you won't be paid for any deadhead miles so it has to be figured in. If your wages aren't equal to .40 a mile for all miles driven then it's not worth it, you can do a local hopper by the hour and do better....
Just sayin' -
Its year round work down here and he also does other stuff like cotton and soy beans

How do you prevent the truck from rolling back on a hill in a stick. I remember from school you hold the clutch and brake pedal then slowly release the clutch till it pulls

Been pretty good, I am still getting home every weekend and the money has been steady. They have me training every now and then and I like that because the trainee gets their own truck to follow me around..LOL. I got a year in there now and I am still happy with everything except that darn governor...Wish he would turn them up a little bit anyway but it's not my truck so... Having a steady decent paycheck and weekends off counts a lot and most everyone down there is friendly

Johnny bar.... Just pull down enough to stay in place and give it clutch until it starts to pull.. Off you go!
