Sounds like my Garmin but mine picks up traffic data from FM signals in major cities. So outside of cities there's no traffic information (No FM traffic signal) unlike Google Maps Traffic which is pretty much nationwide even between cities.
If it's does't display green for "good" I don't want any part of it. Otherwise how do you know if it's working or not between cities? I like my Garmin traffic but only as a backup and knowing it's severe limitations.

I been running the Dezl 580 along side the copilot app. I run terminal to terminal and some are in some rural places. Copilot hands down been better with the routing. And Highway was shut down last night and copilot routed me around it automatically. Garmin wanted me to keep going and I have it paired with my phone. I’m hating the Garmin more and more

I use several apps here in SoCal. But WAZE I trust more then any other. Been using it for several years. I also have a Garmin and I just eye ball it when I’m looking for a bigger map. I also go off and on with these apps, Sigalert, Inrix. These 2 gives me and idea of traffic flow or congestion. This is how I also test WAZE, to see how accurate it is on giving me the best route. I’m local so all these apps is a necessity for me to save time and traffic congestion.

I heard the same thing. Then why doesn’t google maps post patrol alerts, delays or whatsoever?
-
They just never integrated it that far as of
Now. I heard cops get on waze and post bogus speed traps to thOw people off. Maybe that is why google hasn’t filled made it one. I know for traffic google maps uses everyone’s location in the background. So if your on a rural road and an accident has road shut down. 15 people in the shut down has google using location in background thats how google maps is getting traffic delays. Add a wazer or 2 in that and google is pretty much king of traffic -
Only had it for a week but so far it's been dead on for accuracy, in all regards. I don't know about routing. I have a cheapie Garmin in my car and they don't always agree. Depends on who wrote the program . I have no complaints about my 770 in my truck.it gives me a lot of important truck info. I love the fact you can see other Waze users though.
