Okay I will check those supply lines with a headlight. Do you think that this could be related to the issue I mentioned previously about the fuse box? There is a fuse box under the hood driver side that has a couple relays, every so often the truck will show a "no eng" light on the dash, then the truck will crank but not start and the driver has to tap on those relays for it to start.

Could be. I can tell you that the NOX power is OEM supplied. Can't offer more than that as I'm not familiar with the chassis. What is this in a Freightliner? You'll have to get schematics to trace back if this is determined to be the issue.
Kawi027 Thanks this. -
Thank you...yes its a Freightliner m2

Okay I replaced the wires under the fuse box that we had to tap on occasionally and it fixed the no start electrical gremlin problem we were having (it has been over a week with no issue).
Today the 3582 code came back along with 3543 which caused the truck to derate.
I replaced the doser & dpf ecm about 1.5 years ago. Should I go straight to the doser or to the scr pressure test? I went online and noticed people performing a scr performance test. I dont see the SCR performance test on my insite software. Is this test available on my engine year?
Thank you -
scr code returned

Also this SCR has under 200,000 mile on it.

Have either upstream or downstream NOX sensors been replaced?
Totally missed your first post today.
Follow troubleshooting for 3543 fault. If you do not have the scr performance test available in Insite, we already know your software is at the latest. You will likely need to download and use the DESA diagnostic tool for early systems.
Try pulling the outlet NOX from the tail pipe and starting a regen until it comes on line and starts reading ppm. If not near zero you may have a biased outlet nox.Last edited: May 14, 2018
spsauerland Thanks this. -
Hopefully just a drifted NOx outlet sensor. Your chasis does supply the 12V and ground to the sensor, so hopefully you have those problems resolved with power distribution.
-
No neither nox sensor has ever been replaced.
I looked in the troubleshooting tree for 3543 and did not see anything that would say the nox sensors could be bad (did i miss something)? Are you thinking it could be a bad nox sensor? If so inlet or outlet?
Thank you -
The electrical gremlin i had issue with before have been fixed as we have gone 8 days without the electrical issues we were having before. Thanks for the tip.
