Could be starting orientation with swift at the Atlanta terminal here in a few weeks. Any idea on inverters. I heard inverters were being added to the swift trucks

New trucks are equipped with an 1800W inverter. (At least, mine is. It's a '17 Cascadia.)
Older trucks will get them installed upon request, or something like that. I'm not sure if there is a wait time or availability problems or things like that.

Ok recruiter asked me if i could shift a 10 speed and i told him that i could but i was rusty, he said he was putting in a request to have me road tested and with a mentor on an automatic, thus limiting me to autos only with swift is that an issue

If the system says you’re only allowed to drive an automatic truck then the plus side would be you will probably get a much newer truck when solo.

Swift will be an all automatic fleet for company drivers probably in the next couple years.

When I got my Swift tractor, a '16 Cascadia Evo, it had no inverter. When I requested one, my DM, who had been a DM there forever, claimed he'd have to check on policy. It took me almost 6 weeks to get one installed.

Now, I'm not saying my DM was being disingenuous, or anything. Just sayin'.

Mostly Freightliners and KW. Some Internationals. A few Peterbilts. Old Volvo at their CDL schools.

    12V coolers are ok.

I went to Lewiston, ID Swift CDL Academy in August 2017. At that time all of the academy trucks were manual Volvo.

    So, then and there, no.

    Your results may vary.
