Folks can say what they want about them T600’s, but I like em. That black one looks really good.

Had to do something the other day for the first time and it was a little uncomfortable for me.
My dad passed away last June and he was pretty much wheel chair bound for the last 14 years of his life because of a stroke and he was overweight so mom has been taking care of him all that time. They had a business and they traveled a lot with it by car so they were together all the time and she did all the driving. After dad died it was kind of a relief for her because now she could pretty much do what she had been wanting to do but couldn't previously because of his restrictions and she didn't have to worry about him now.
She has a brother out in Denver and since dad passed she has already driven out there twice from Bartlesville, Ok, which is about 12 hrs. The first time a granddaughter went out and back with her and this last time my sister went out with her and then flew back. Well she's ready to come home now but doesn't have anybody to come back with her. She's 74, a young 74, but still, I can't very well in good conscience let her drive back here by herself, which is about 11 hrs, to my place so I get to fly out to Denver Monday and drive her back.
What I'm getting at is I had to tell her, nicely, this is probably going to be her last long distance driving experience by herself and she agreed. It was just strange having to tell my mother that she couldn't do something.
I have a brother and a sister, the brother isn't really involved and the sister is but mom seems to be leaning on me more and more for advice, help at her place, and other things. It's odd how roles reverse as you get older, I'm 55. She always took care of me and now it's my turn.Zeviander, sawmill, Shock Therapy and 15 others Thank this. -
