I measured to find the center of the trailer, overall length. I like your suggestion, but using the length has worked out fine. I have a side kit, the middle panel is marked "c", and that's where I set up single coil, and it's worked fine.

    "Cool cradles"????

I'm getting to old to have to learn a new language. This mixing of new breed drivers and old breed drivers is never going to work.

Can somebody please explain to me what this term means in this particular context?

    TripleSix Thanks this.

I don't do flatbed, but everybody gets stuck when they are new. I'm gonna say no you're not fired.

Yes, you will pay for the wrecker, I mean why shouldn't you? $300 to $400.

This is why you keep $1,000 or so with you. Should this happen again, don't call the shop, just call the wrecker.

And unless you have the knowledge to get someone to help you, and unstick yourself, that $300 to $400 is very cheap compared to you tearing a duel off, snapping an axle, or dumping the load.

TripleSix, Brickwall and Bean Jr. Thank this.

You will not be fired. Especially because you took it upon yourself to ask for help.

I doubt that they'll fire you but you can bet that they'll be watching you closely for awhile.
As in "is this new guy a screw up or did he just make a one-time bad decision?" New drivers make mistakes and cost the company money....that's a given...but try not to make the same ones more than once. Especially the expensive ones.
You know what you did wrong and you probably won't make that same mistake again. Learn from it and go on.

And going back to rework the load was the right choice. Good decision.

    Tb0n3 and Brickwall Thank this.

I think he has me blocked too. I called him out on a couple of tall tales and I don't think he liked it. He has a lot of people blocked.
But every once in awhile, not often and not with any regularity. he actually posts something good. Trouble is, you have to read through 1500 words of self congratulatory and non sensical fantasy stories to find it.
