Man guys, I got screwed here real good a couple weeks ago. Me and my gf got into an argument and she ended up throwing her keys and me, which she admitted to the cops, and then she wanted me to leave. I said hell no your going to have to evict me. She then called then cops and told them that after she threw her keys at me that I raised my hands at her and grabbed her arm...all of which I didn't do. And she had no marks at all.

So then guess what, the cops arrested me for class c misdemeanor assult. I think it was bc shes pregnant and had her kid there which is not mine so the cops decided to just arrest me instead of her. which is such BS.

So now I have this pending charge which I'm going to plead not guilty to but I know the procecutor is going to drag this out for as long as they can which is 2 years. and mean while I'm going to have a record and pending charge which is making it very hard for me to find a job. I'm currently unemployed.

I just finished my year with Prime inc and actually stayed 1yr 6months doing flatbed. plus I have my tanker and hazmat with 1 year class b experience driving fuel tanker. I had an interview for a job I was going to get but HR said they wont hire me until I take care of this charge. I cant not work for 2 years. And my GF is going to evict me bc I'm not on the lease. She really gave it to me good this time. so not only cant I work, I'm also going to be homeless all bc someone pointed a finger at me and lied to the cops.

So my question is, does anyone know of any company that will hire me with a pending class C misdemeanor assult charge pending?

As you say its pending until your actually convicted and a record goes against your name you should be fine, the key is not to go blabbing about it to everyone especially to up coming future employers, and if you are innocent like you claim not sure why the police would arrest you lots of couples have arguments it don't mean the police are going to arrest someone. They could of just asked you to leave or perhaps they felt the best thing was to just lock you up if you were still being hostile there's things here that i'm sure the police would take into consideration, eg. why did she call the police?, what behavior were you displaying when they arrived ? anyway i guess that's a totally different issue i'm sure a good attorney would get you off if you never touched her if fact if your a really good speaker you may choose to defend yourself it'd save you a whole lot of money. The testimony of the police would count in your favour you could ask them was there any physical evidence of any harm done to the girlfriend.

Pending is not a conviction. Give an attorney a call. If what you are saying is accurate, it will probably be reduced to a disorderly conduct.

thanks for the reply. I said in my first post she claimed I raised my hands at her and grabbed her arm. that's why I was arrested. But I'm not here to talk about my case. Ive dealt with the law plenty of times to know how the system works. They will offer me a plea deal that I'm probably going to take or I can fight it for 2 years. either way I'm screwed for a long time. and as soon as I got arrested, It on my criminal background records. so keeping my mouth shut isn't an option.

all I want to know is who will hire someone with a pending charge.

I will check out western express. thanks man

Hire on with a temp service that hires cdl drivers. This way you can work when you want to and take time off when you want to. No reason to mention this pending court case. You're not guilty yet. Ask a lawyer what will make it go away so you can find full time work. If he says, "Plead guilty and it's over", then just do it. If you already have a criminal record anyway, it won't matter.
Once you get this behind you, leave the area and don't return. Find another city/state to live in.

TransAm will probably hire you & don't tell them anything about this.
I'd try the temp service first though until this case is over.

Western Express, already mentioned, will also probably hire you.
