The only solution was to replace the master clutch cylinder on-site, or have it towed to a shop to be replaced.
I was pretty much dead in the water, so I had to have it towed to a shop.
In your situation, the plastic tip that broke is on the clutch master cylinder and it is non-serviceable, you'll need to replace the whole master cylinder assembly.
It would also be a good preventive maintenance idea to replace the slave cylinder on the transmission, (if it is still the original) since you will need to bleed the system anyways.Last edited: May 19, 2018

Like pumpkin said. Release the brakes put it in low gear and start it and float the gears the rest of the way. It'll be a little shaky/ intimidating the first few times but you'll get the hang of it. I brought my truck 65 miles home that way. Time the lights as much as you can and pray for no traffic jams! Lol

The plastic piece is part of the master cylinder, it's not serviceable.
ddrtransport and Pumpkin Oval Head Thank this. -

But if you're driving a partially disabled commercial vehicle and an accident occurs because you couldn't control your vehicle, guess who's going to get the blame?
You are. It's not worth the risk.
Call a UBER driver and get a ride to the Volvo Stealership in Conshohocken for the part, it's about 49 miles away.Pumpkin Oval Head and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
