Aim for the red trucks
The blue ones might be a little tight for cash currently
The result of this crash is insane.spyder7723 and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -
Why didn’t Werner or the Werner driver sue those people for crashing into their truck?
bzinger Thanks this. -
Pay attention Tucker have you gone off your meds? There’s no money in that.
And Apparently, according to one biased article, the jury heard this.
“ It was undisputed that had Ali complied with the CDL manual the crash would not have occurred.”
Not even Werner disputed they could have prevented the crash.2BContinued and tucker Thank this. -
no You would have to kill and maim your kids then you get the money. Worth it?
-
Perhaps Werner should sue the state for not declaring the road closed.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
I find it interesting nobody testified there WAS ice on the road. Werner witnesses all testified there was NO ice on the road. 14 other witnesses said it was freezing rain, but that doesn't mean there was ice on the road.
"Ali and the rest of the Werner witnesses all denied that ice existed on the roadway, despite testimony to the contrary from 14 independent witnesses and a National Weather Service warning indicating that freezing rain had developed in the area."Last edited: May 22, 2018

All sorts of versions to this story.
Werner Enterprises slapped with $90 million verdict by Texas jury
"The pickup driver lost control and crashed through the median into the oncoming lanes of the interstate, where it was hit by a Werner truck." -
Werner should have learned from McDonalds scalding coffee mistake.
"Pre-trial Liebeck sought to settle with McDonald's for $20,000 to cover her actual and anticipated expenses. Her past medical expenses were $10,500; her anticipated future medical expenses were approximately $2,500; and her daughter's[13] loss of income was approximately $5,000 for a total of approximately $18,000.[16] Instead, the company offered only $800."
"The jury damages included $160,000[3] to cover medical expenses and compensatory damages and $2.7 million in punitive damages. The trial judge reduced the final verdict to $640,000, and the parties settled for a confidential amount before an appeal was decided."
