NEW RAND MCNALLY 740 COMING IN MAY

Just switched from my Overdryve 8 to a 740, both with the exact same RM software except that the OD8 runs Android more prominently. Both were hit and miss with JV still. I updated the unit via its on board updating called "GPS Repair" and that still did nothing. So it's 2018 now, they're outputting these new devices and the old ones worked better. I thought the 740 ran the old software but it seems they just put this Android based software on all their devices now. Anyone have a fix for the JV not working?

I just got a new 740; will it support the imported poi's from my old 730. If so what file do I need to move?

 

A magnetic mount will keep continue to fall off is everytime you driver on rough road or potholes it will fall off, is the worst thing I ever have for GPS .

 

As I have mentioned many times call RM CS to get the improved slice

My 740 won't except my address book from my 730.. It says GPS not responding but when I delete the address book file the GPS boots up and works fine.. It started after the latest updates.. Any fix for this?

I wasnt aware that the 730 had the capacity to transfer address books over wirelessly
